Gay Pulp: Brothers, Boys, and more

To me, it’s rather disturbing how many gay pulp books of the previous century mention brothers as a sexual interest. I’d get it if they meant a “bro” content, buy a lot of them are quite literal. “Boys” is not much better, though I feel it would basically translate to “twinks” today. Although a few of these books mean that pretty literally too–again, a sign of the times (I hope). I certainly don’t feel that way myself, but it’s an interesting glimpse at history.
