I’m finally back from my week long trip to Orlando. It was a great time. The first few days were work. I assisted in a special event performance at the Magic Kingdom. No, I was not performing, I was working behind the scenes. It all went very well, and the Disney people are apparently interested in having us come back. I’d like to go back too, but I may not be able too for a little while… I gotta catch up on all my other work now! I used up a lot of my sick days for this adventure.
Since I’m the amusement park junkie (almost as much as feet, maybe more!), I visited all the Disney Parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom), as well as Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens Tampa (where I spent my Thanksgiving, as a matter of fact), and Cypress Gardens. It was a great time, and Shiekra at Busch Gardens in particular was stunning.
The only thing that could have made the trip better would have been seeing more bois in cute flip flops. All these “down south” guys seem to be wearing sneakers! Don’t get me wrong, that’s pretty sexy too–especially imagining them holding that sneaker up to your face after a long day of walking around in them. (Sigh.) But I always like to catch as many bare soles & toes as I can, and there weren’t too many opportunities for it. Yeah, I know it’s late November, but the weather was actually pretty nice out there. So what’s their problem? 😉
I won’t bore you with specifics from the trip… I’ll just say it was great. If you really want to know more, write and ask me. I’ll need to catch up on some work now, so it still may be fairly quiet around here for a few days. But I’ll get around to another update sometime… promise.
