I did go to Kathy Griffin. It was fun, and she was entertaining. But it was almost better to see the Universal City Walk area (which is usually geared towards tourists & families) completely overrun by well dressed gay men in form fitting shirts and fabulous jeans. It was like bringing a bit of West Hollywood to City Walk.

Tomorrow, Sam and I are heading off to Northern California for about 3 days, just for fun. Nothing big. No huge plans for the 4th of July, mainly just friends and family. Later on, at the end of the month, we will be taking a larger trip for a summer vacation, primarily going to various amusement parks in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the classic Coney Island.

Last night we went to see the Ratatouille movie (which was good), and then rode the new Nemo submarine ride at Disneyland. It was nice, and we also met up with some friends in line, so it went by very quickly.

Driving home today from Sam’s place, I got in a small fender bender that was entirely my fault. Long story short, I ran into a guy in front of me at a light. It was the basic, “my foot slipped on the accelerator” story, which I always used to think sounded so lame–until it actually happened to me. The other guy’s car is fine mechanically, but his rear door/trunk was dented, and it will probably need to be replaced. Sigh. Well, it is my first accident in over 20 years of driving, so I was probably due. And it fortunately wasn’t really serious, so as far as accidents go, it wasn’t bad. But at the same time, you never know what the other person is going to claim, or how much insurance will ultimately change. So I’ll still be holding my breath a bit until it’s all over.

Lastly, if you haven’t noticed by now, I actually updated the website! I also explain that I probably won’t be doing frequent updates to the site anymore, as it’s gotten just big enough that it takes me a long time to add pages now, and it’s just getting to be a hassle. But I will always add to here when there’s something noteworthy, and I will add to the site from time to time. Just don’t look for it every month, or anything. Although I may do another update or two before the summer is over.
