So if you follow my twitter, you know I recently took a trip to Vegas. In case you missed it, here are a few of the highlights.
Now, going in the middle of summer, it’s very hot. But that also makes it prime viewing for guy’s feet in flip flops. I was never bored walking down the street, that’s for sure.
It’s funny to see some slot machines catering to gay men (well, it’s probably aimed at women, but we gays won’t be complaining).
One of the hunky greeters at Excalibur. There were female ones too, but didn’t care as much about them for obvious reasons. Sorry the shot is blurry; I believe they were technically charging for pics, so I had to be a bit sly.
Fun sign for the arcade at Excalibur. Heh. |
While out shopping (which I did a lot of–although none of it kinky), I ran across an ad for Spiderman sunglasses. I love me Spidey, but this is pushing it a bit, even for me.
It wouldn’t be Vegas without shows. Since I was mostly alone (because my BF was working), I went out to see a lot of the shows I didn’t think he’d be so interested in, using the half price tickets service.
First up was Zumanity. The “adult” Cirque du Soleil show. Now, I’ve seen most of the Cirque shows, and after a while, they sort of feel the same to me. And to be honest, I’ve heard Zumanity is not most people’s favorite, and while sexy, it’s mostly women. I would say that if you’ve never seen Cirque before, this would not be a good introduction. The actual acts are not really the focus. You’re there more for the sensuality of the whole production. Sadly, it is mostly true the show is 80% female, and frequent bare breasts. But the men are not completely ignored, and there is one fairly significant gay male nod that’s pretty hot, and some definite eye candy. The guy below, who was in the lobby before the show began, is a pretty good example.
Also, the drag host was pretty fabulous. She really made the show. I only wish her role was greater in the middle portion.
I also saw Blue Man Group. Had never seen them before. Seeing as this is a kinky blog, I won’t spend much time reviewing it, as it’s not kinky at all. But it is a good show. Not flawless, but good.
The show below I didn’t actually see, but I just loved the advertising. I have a feeling there’s no actual bondage in the show at all, but I had to post these anyway. I’d play with them anyday.
Since I’m a bit of a nerd, I also did the Mob Experience at the Tropicana. It was actually quite good, and the interactions with the live actors are a lot of fun! You kind of end up in the middle of a mob deal, and it can go good or bad, depending on how you handle it.
The rest of my trip was shopping, and spending time at the Manadalay Bay pool, which is where I stayed. I had never been there before, and to be honest, I’m not all that much into swimming, but they do have one of the best pools in Vegas. I did enjoy myself, but sadly, my timing was very poor, and it was nearly all families the day and time I went, and very little college frat boi feet were to be seen. However, I believe that’s usually the exception.
I’ve never actually stayed before, but I have always thought of staying at the only gay resort in Vegas, the Blue Moon. I believe at one time they had a fetish room, but I don’t think that’s the case anymore (although if anyone knows otherwise, please let me know!). If anyone has any reviews of it, let me know. I have a feeling it’s more for singles, and being in a LTR, it may not hold as much attraction for me. But you never know, and it is always nice to support gay businesses.
I do love their ad. Cute guys, and you can see their feet. Well, sort of. |
