A small trivia note on this first pic… it was taken at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. It used to be the official Zoo for Los Angeles, but was closed in the 1960s. Even then, the very small and jail-like enclosures were being criticized as inhumane. Fortunately, the zoo was moved a few blocks away and was updated with much better enclosures. But they left the ruins of the old zoo and cages behind, and it became a public part of the park. Lots of movies, TV shows, and commercials get filmed here. Not to mention a few Slick It Up photo shoots. While it’s secluded and doesn’t get a lot of people, it does get enough that an extensive scene could be tricky. But not impossible.
I visited the Old Zoo a number of years ago, and “enjoyed” myself thoroughly. I documented it at this post here.
