I get a lot of great feedback from people who think my pics with subs (and when I’m the model) look great, which is very flattering. But I think they can also be intimidating to some.
I had an interesting discussion with a sub I’ve worked with before (I’ll call him sub E). Before our scene had started, we were grabbing an early dinner, and I was noting that on his profile, sub E had a pic of himself bound up and put in a cage built into a wall. I told him it was hot, and he agreed–he loved the experience–but also admitted that he thought that pic was causing people to avoid meeting him.
Why? Because when many other guys/Doms saw that pic, they essentially said to themselves: “I can’t compete with that. I don’t have such an elaborate set up, and if that sub has already done that, he won’t enjoy anything I can do to him. It won’t be enough.”
I sort of feel like a few beginners are intimidated by my own pics. They think, “He’s already done so much.. He won’t be interested in me or what I have to offer.”
But actually, one of my favorite things is to make a newbie’s subs dreams come true. I love seeing that excitement (often mixed with a bit of nervousness… that’s perfectly normal), and talking with them for the first time, hoping to fulfill their fantasy.
And while it is sometimes fun to play with elaborate gear and positions, I’m happy with a simple collar, leash, and a slave licking my feet. Anything more is a bonus.
So please don’t be intimidated by my, or anyone’s pics! Everyone has had that first time to be tied up, no matter how experienced they are now. The goal isn’t to outdo or top yourself. It’s to have fun, and that can be done by repeating things that have already been done before–if it’s with a new set of people, it’ll feel different and have a different vibe.
