I’m becoming a bit of a collector of gay pulp books (as you can tell from my frequent posts of gay pulp books). While I only have about 10 total, I find them a fascinating glimpse of gay history. And apparently, this book is a favorite of the columnist Dan Savage. I mean, who can resist this title? Not to mention an author with the unlikely name of Jon Fondle.
This book, considering it was from 1968, is in pretty dang good condition. While I usually scour this sort of stuff on eBay, I found this particular book on a site that curates vintage gay pulp (they also do straight stuff as well) content, called Oxxbridge. No creases on the spine whatsoever, no missing or marked pages. A few frayed pages on the top of the last few pages and back cover, and the cover may be a bit sun bleached, but pretty minor in the big picture.
Sadly, the book (and other books from this same publisher) is not erotica fiction, but more of a supposed non-fiction essay. I’ll be honest, I haven’t read much of it yet, though I do plan to scan through it.
Pardon my fingers in a few pics… I was trying to hold the book open enough to get a decent pic, but at the same time, was trying not to damage the spine.
