Believe it or not, but my blog turns 21 today! My blog may be older than a few of you who visit, haha. The first pic is a gay pulp cover find, and the other is a scan of a birthday card I found while shopping in Palm Springs.
To celebrate, tomorrow I’m going to post some of my personal favorite pics I’ve taken with my meets over the years. See you then!
And as I posted on my Bluesky, I’m continuing to wipe all found content from this blog. I’m currently have everything deleted prior to 2022. Given this blog goes back to 2005, that’s been a lot of work! I hope to be fully caught up by the end of summer.
But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of content left! Even I am surprised by how much of my own content, tips, reader submissions, and guest content creators who have allowed me to post. In fact, I’m running into to many things that I’m being reminded of, I’ll be re-posting a lot of older, but still relevant, content. Please keep in mind when I do this, it will temporarily disappear from this site, but it will reappear when I repost it.
I started deleting the found content from here primarily because of copyright issues and just being more conscious of respecting other people’s work. (You can read more about my reasons here and here.) I still will post occasional found content on my Bluesky, but even then I will try to credit as best as I can, or ask if anyone can identify the source… as many times, they are just lost to time.
However, the blog would’ve had to change anyway. I didn’t even realize that I was at 99.7% of my website hard drive space. So I wouldn’t have been able to continue at that posting rate anyway, unless I wanted to pay a lot more money for storage. I already pay quite a bit just for this basic site, so I wasn’t looking to pay more. Fortunately, with all the deletions so far, I’m down to about 83% of my storage, and I still have about 3.5 more years to delete.
This means that I should now have enough room to continue blogging at the rate I am for quite some time!
