If you’ve lived in LA, you’ll likely know about a place called The Brewery, which is very visible from the heavily traveled 5 Freeway.
The building originally started out as an Edison power plant built in 1903, and then became a Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery. But in the 1980’s, it was converted to be a full artist’s complex, which it still is to this day.
Usually about twice a year, they open up the grounds to the public, who can then view all the artists who participate. It’s all free (though parking fills up quickly), and it’s amazing to view the old plant as well as all the artists who live and work their now. Oh, and that main building you see in the above pic? It now holds a massive rock wall climbing facility called Stronghold Gym! Something worth visiting in itself if that is your thing.
But as this is a kink account, there was one artist who is creating custom fetish work, and I just wanted to share about them. If you’re ever in the Los Angeles area and would be interested in visiting the Artwalk, the website is here! It’s usually in March and October for a single weekend, so it’s very limited. Also, keep in mind this was the only fetish vendor I saw, all the other artists were more mainstream… but highly varied, so there’s something for everyone!
