After a bit of thought, I decided to (re)make a profile on Twitter. But I will say right now, I have no plans to be active on it. I explain in the post (seen below), but the main reasons I did were:
1) I wanted to protect my handle name there
2) I wanted a way for people who may only have a twitter to reach me
3) I can follow people who have not yet made their way to Bluesky (though I don’t know why you haven’t yet… it’s so much better!).

I am still no fan of Elon and his horrible antics. But at the same time, I don’t want someone else to take my name there and start posting things posing as me, when it isn’t me. I honestly don’t expect to get many, if any, followers… I really don’t intend to post there. That said, if I used to follow you there, and I don’t follow you now, either send me a message or follow me there anyway, and I’ll try to follow you back.
My only regret when I left twitter is I didn’t take a screenshot of my follower count when I left, which was over 4K. Honestly, I’m sure a few hundred of those were bots, but nevertheless I was proud to have a relatively large following.
I’m still trying to break 1K at Bluesky (slowly getting there, nearly 800 now), but I can tell there are very few bots following me there (and the few I caught I blocked). However, while the follower count has dipped, my actual engagements has remained about the same… so that’s pretty cool, and I don’t really have any complaints!
If you haven’t gotten there yet, the kink scene is really taking off there, and I can’t recommend it enough. Even if I had no ill feelings about Elon, Twitter is now a very cluttered layout and the constant ads just give me a headache.
