I’ve been briefly discussing this on my Bluesky account, but thought I’d go into more detail about it here.
A while ago (April 2025, to be exact), I had a guy I’m going to call Jimmy (not his real name or handle) write me on Recon, saying:
“Hey! We have hero play and lycra in common and from the pics I can see on your profile I think we could make some really fun hero scenes”
Honestly, for Recon, his profile looked fairly vanilla, with just a sexy face and body pics. We chatted back and forth a bit, and around the month of May, I asked him what lycra he had. Then he went quiet until June, where he said hello again.
At that point, I sort of figured out this probably wasn’t really going to go anywhere, and didn’t really think about it too much.
I think it was around July that I thought I had seen his name somewhere on Twitter. After doing some checking, not only had he done some work with a major kink player in Chicago with 300K+ followers, but he had own own account, and was a vanilla porn star with 150K+ followers! He doesn’t mention this at all on his Recon profile. Which, to me, sort of explained his very slow response time. I figure he probably gets a ton of messages from guys.
Jimmy and I still write fairly reliably (even as of November of 2025), but maybe only once a month or so, making it one of the slowest conversations I’ve ever had, haha. Since he is so busy, I’m honestly not too hopeful of a meet actually happening (even though he is fairly local to me), but at the same time, I have seen him meet with two other people I do personally know online. Coincidentally, one of the people Jimmy met with is someone that I once tied up and posted about here! If something does end up happening, you can bet I’ll post about it.
As if this wasn’t enough, in July 2025 I got another message from a different guy on Recon, a 27 yo twink that I’ll call John. This profile was also fairly vanilla looking, with just a single body and face pic of him in a speedo. He cruised me, and his profile looked interesting enough, so I wrote back saying I don’t have a lot of time now, but if wanted to chat and share some other pics. I even said they didn’t have to be face pics.
John wrote back 5 days later, and sent four face and body pics, and one of his dick and ass. But one of the face pics really looked to me as if it were taken on a porn set, sort of like Helix Studios. I was a bit sus, but I asked him what sort of kink experiences was he looking for (his profile mentioned he was looking to try out kink).
Then I got no reply, so I figured it was a lost cause… this happens quite a bit on Recon, especially with newbies, so it wasn’t surprising. What was surprising is that he did write me back out of nowhere after 3+ months of silence in November 2025 with “whats up”. I joked that he sure takes his time writing back, and said I was still interested in knowing what sort of kink scene he wanted. Haven’t heard anything back yet, so I’m not really expecting anything to happen.
But I was curious, and I took one of the pics John sent me and did a reverse image search, and while I didn’t find an exact match, I did discover that he was also a twink vanilla porn star based in Los Angeles with 130K+ followers.
Now, I’m not naive… I totally realize this could be a catfish-type situation, with a random guy just stealing all of John’s pics. That is certainly possible. However, I think the fact that his main profile does NOT have obvious porn pics leads me to believe it may really be him being a bit on the down low (he also did not use his porn name in his Recon name). Also, not that many porn stars are based in LA, so the location also checks out. Not only that, but the other pics John sent me did not appear on John’s social media page, so they weren’t taken from there… but at the time time, it was pretty obvious it was all the same guy. If things progress (very big “if” here), I’ll keep both eyes wide open, but my gut tells me it’s really him, and I do tend to have a pretty good intuition about such things.
If any developments happen with either, I will definitely post updates both here, but probably at Bluesky first, so keep an eye out! Even if they don’t, the fact they’re writing me at all is oddly flattering to me, and I’ll take it.
