Thought I’d give a few more thoughts and updates since I announced the impending closure of the blog two weeks ago. It’s still closing… sort of. Keep reading below.
First of all, if I have it my way, I thinking of sometime this summer. This should still give you a fair amount of time to enjoy and save anything you see around here before posts start to disappear.
Second, I still haven’t heard anything at all (so far) from the original guy who insisted I take down his work, but then didn’t tell me what pics were his work when I asked many, many times. Obviously, if he (or anyone) wants me to remove work, I am always happy to do so, but you do have to let me know what pics you want me to remove.
Still, even without hearing anything further, I do still have to admit that closing the blog was something I was thinking about anyway… so even if I never hear back from him, or I do and he’s just happy with me removing pics, I will still likely close the blog anyway.
I have also been getting removal notices about other pics, mainly from a single source… and while that’s fine, I find this especially odd because the pics were all originally from their own publicly posted social media accounts (meaning I did not share content that was behind a pay wall), I never removed their watermarks (so in a way, I was giving them free advertising), and, as far as I can tell, the pay site asking me to take down pics doesn’t even seem to exist anymore. Yet they are recently being very aggressive about wanting all their contest removed. I am complying, but it’s just another thing that’s discouraging.
The next chapter when this one changes…
As I did say, when this blog closes, I am not planning on leaving the scene. I still plan to be very active on my BlueSky profile. If you haven’t joined it yet, I highly recommend it! While the audience is much smaller than Twitter, the content is just as good, allows explicit and sexual posts (though you do have to set up some filters in settings first), and has a lot less junk posts. Did I mention totally ad-free?

When I was writing this post, I was initially thinking I would move over to another platform (tumblr, bdsmlr, etc.) and just post with less frequency. But after researching these options, I came to an unexpected realization: it may be easier to just stay here, but alter things.
My initial plan was to move to another platform, retainin my url and continue posting, but shifting the focus to all my own original content (my scenes–I’ve met with over 70 different people, so I have a lot of content there alone–as well as more posts of me, my thoughts, and my reviews of gear and books), and not post other people’s works unless I had specific permission from those people.
But most other platforms tend to be restrictive about their content, and I’d be in constant fear of seeing my work deleted if something was found to be inappropriate. By staying here, where I have a lot more freedom, was starting to sound like a lot more sensible. I can just alter what I post here.
The advantages of this are I can keep posting on a platform I’m already used to, and all the links I’ve previously posted on Bluesky (and occasionally Twitter) that point back to this blog would still work. Plus, I could post any of my own adult content I like, such as nudity and explicit sexual content.
The disadvantage is that eventually, I’ll have to go through this blog and delete all curated content. Most of the problems I’m having are regarding the found, curated content. But if I’m going to stay here, I think it’s a necessary step. Since I’ve been doing this for about 20 years, that’s nearly 6,000 posts to sort through and delete. There is a bulk delete option, but even using that, I’ll have to gradually slog through every single post, as well as delete every single pic associated with those posts. There are some tools that can help me with this, but we’ll have to hope they work without any glitches (I will expect some).
So here’s the plan for now…
At the end of this month (February 2026), I will slowly begin deleting all curated content. I will start at the back end, with posts from the very early days (most of that is pretty dated and low quality by today’s standards anyway), and gradually work my way up to the present. So if there’s anything from the early days of found content you still want to see, I’d go visit them now.
Side note: a lot of my early posts here are me talking about a time when I had a full website of my own pics, but I (not being much of a tech person back then), I was frequently discussing the status of said site on Blogger.com… and eventually, those Blogger posts migrated here and became the first few posts on this site for a good while. So they’re pretty boring and most have no pics, haha. I keep them up to amuse myself and remind myself how all this began.
I think this also means that from now on, I will stop posting found and curated content, but continue to post my own original content. This may now mean only one or two updates a week, but with so much backlog of content, there’s still plenty to explore. I will still have new, original content to come (including a newbie 19 yo twink and a scene with Frank Hardy Bound), so do stay tuned!

I also believe that I will fully close and delete my partner blog, capturedheroesblog.com, especially since I didn’t have nearly as much original content there. Fortunately, most of the time, any original content I had there was also posted here. Not sure when I’ll delete it, but likely in a few months or so.
Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions? I’d love to know what you all think. Leave a comment below! I do have to approve comments, and I usually only check in here once a week, so please be patient… but I would like to hear what you think!

While still disappointing, I do realize how difficult it must be to manage the sharing of pictures from multiple sources. I wish that weren’t the case and it would be simple enough to link every picture back to its source location, but by nature, that would be impossible a task. I still wish we could find a way to make this work just from the anti-censorship angle as more and more of the internet becomes restrictive. I for one would truly appreciate if you made a post or two containing recommendations for image sources and profiles to follow over on Bluesky if that’s the best way to move forward. I know you’ve had many wonderful links on this site for years, but an updated and expanded version would be great to see before the final curtain call. Thanks for the many great years of great content, and here’s to a new chapter of original content.
